Prof. Dr Peter Fath (RCT Solutions GmbH) and Dr Stefan Rinck (Singulus Technologies AG) were confirmed in their positions at the board meeting of the VDMA’s Photovoltaic Production Equipment Division on 5 December. Marco Saladin, Managing Director of M10 Solar Equipment, is also a member of the nine-member board.
The committee is focussing on strengthening the German-European solar machinery industry in order to be able to compete – especially with China.
The goals are:
- Promote PV production in Europe through domestic machinery and technologies.
- Strengthening export markets through innovations and modern technologies.
- Representation of interests at political level in Germany and the EU.
- Knowledge transfer and standards to ensure competitiveness.
The chairmen emphasise in unison: ‘Our focus is on strategic partnerships, research and the development of skilled workers.’
